If you like to keep abreast with the latest fashion trends, having a close eye on the runway shows is a decent place to begin, but they are not always the best indicators of the popular fashion trends in countries across the globe.
Fortunately for us, the industry experts at fashion retailer ‘Long Tall Sally’ explored and came up with the top trends that are worn across the globe. Not only is it fascinating to keep a tab on the trends that people in other countries adore, but the outcome quite clearly depicts a bit of inspiration in your wardrobe.
By taking necessary help from a trends expert, Long Tall Sally evaluated thousands of trends across the globe through street style images, Instagram posts and local influencers. These fashion trends were then cross-checked with the data available on Instagram for the past 1 year.
The leading trend in each country was assessed by keeping a close eye at the most frequently used trend-related hashtag.
For instance, in Bangkok, Thailand, millennial pink was the top trend, hashtagged 15,411 times. In Seoul, South Korea, oversized sleeves was a rage, with 15,638 hashtags and over 2420 posts on Instagram in Nigeria showcased their attraction towards off-the-shoulder looks.
In France, the most traditionally simple wardrobe, the palian white T-shirt ruled the roost, while fashionazis in the United Kingdom were going gaga over mattalic shoes. In USA, style differences were pretty evident between the east and west, with East Coasters liking colorful faux fur and West Coasters having a particular liking for their logo tees.
Let us have a look at some of the most highlighted trends on Instagram from across the globe, posted by fashionazis from each country.
