A long pending issue for Maharashtra’s Drivers and Conductorsbeing resolved by Raote.
The New Year has brought a pleasant surprise for the workers of State Transport. Quite soon, employees will get to wear a new uniform, as told by the transport minister, ShriDiwakarRaote. According to Raote, the workers across 31 zonal offices will receive their uniforms in Saturday in the presence of a senior journalist RahiBhide and ShivSena chief, UddhavThackrey.
Every passing year, ST conductors and drivers were handed over a piece of fabric so that they could get their uniform stitched but gave a different look, but no one took the matter seriously. With this issue gaining limelight, Raote took the decision to get the new uniforms designed by India’s top institute- National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).
While designing the new uniforms, due attention has been given to the tough working conditions.
